Greetings to You All & Happy New Year!!!
Dear Authors, Delegates, Speakers, Invited Guests and Sponsors,

At the outset, my heartfelt thanks to you all for being with us and participating in the proceedings of the conference, 16-18th December at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. We had wonderful settings at the campus wherein lot of intellectual exchanges took place, be it in tutorials, workshops, technical sessions, key note addresses, plenary talks or invited talks, special sessions and panel discussions. We conducted 37 technical oral sessions and two large dialogue sessions in all covering around 300 paper presentations in two days. All the sessions were well attended as I heard the feedback from my colleagues from our organizing committee.

BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus volunteers are everywhere helping the delegates & dignitaries in guiding at the venue. The precision with which all the programs are performed is amazing. As a matter of fact we received excellent compliment from the Governor’s office on the clockwork precision demonstrated during the inaugural wherein HIS EXECELLENCY GOVERNOR of AP, presided. By the valedictory time, we were ready with best papers in each of the 4 tracks; one for oral and the other for dialogue in each track. This shows great team work by our track chairs and session’s chairs with able support from organizing committee and volunteers.

I am personally happy to note that the theme we chose, “Engineering Sustainable Solutions” attracted lot of attention and discussions among the delegates and am sure that it will result in a dialogue that will continue forever. Another front I am glad is that we had participation from three distinguished guests from IEEE head quarters who are President-Elects of IEEE (which includes one from IEEE CS) and who have had participated in all the conference proceedings from day one, a sign of growing importance that our region is getting in terms of contributions in the engineering field for sustainable solutions.
